D.C. weather can’t seem to make up its mind. One day it’s snowing, the next its sunny with temperatures soaring to the 60s. With spring right around the corner, NJI is excited to leave winter behind us.
Why? I’m happy you asked.
1. Old Town’s snow-covered cobblestone will turn into sun-kissed streets. That means more midday walks, brainstorming near the water and excuses to take our office pets out to play.
2. We’re attending the largest webinar ever. In 2011, Hubspot hosted a webinar that had over 12,000 attendees. This year, they’re looking to break that record, and we’re planning on being a part of it. Plus, we’ll get to hear insights from leaders at Facebook and Twitter.
3. Did we mention that SXSW and the Annual NYC Smashing Conference are coming up? You know we’re gonna be there. Keep a lookout for the blog posts and Learn at Lunches that discuss the cool stuff we’ll learn. Speaking of which…
4. Learn at Lunch returns! Rumor has it that the design team is gearing up to talk about responsive design, while the development team will teach us a thing or two about WordPress. Nothing is better than food for thought alongside lunch.
5. Time to bring out the springtime plaid.
6. We’re launching a couple great new websites. We can’t reveal them yet, but we can’t wait to share them with you.
7. The Internet turns 25. It’s been a quarter century since the Internet turned everything upside down and we’re commemorating the occasion. If the first 25 years of the Internet caused so much change, we’re looking forward to seeing what the next 25 years bring.
8. We hear the Panda might already be planning for Cinco de Mayo.
9. The smell of waffle cones will be back in full force. NJI eats a lot of ice cream, mostly because we’re located next to Ben & Jerry’s. Springtime means it will be socially acceptable to chow down on Cherry Garcia and Phish Food at 3pm.
10. The Cherry Blossom Festival officially starts on March 20! D.C. is always so pretty during cherry blossom season. How many Instagram photos will we take this year? Brea MacIsaac will be leading the pack.
