Best of 2018: Video Production
Our video production team and the services we provide keep growing and 2018 was truly a breakout year on all fronts. From the American heartland to Tokyo, Japan - we were busy capturing beautiful footage and creating purposeful video pieces that advance our clients’ communication objectives. And in the process, we had a lot of fun and met some wonderful people.
FOLLOW THE DOLLAR (PhRMA)
We partnered with PhRMA to create a modern take on the “whiteboard” video to create an informative explainer piece that dives into the players involved in the pharmaceutical supply chain, and the role each plays in determining what patients ultimately pay for their prescription medicines. The piece is apart of a larger campaign - “Let’s Talk about Cost” - which aims to help consumers and policymakers find answers to their questions and concerns about cost and access to medicines.
ECHELON INSIGHTS (WALTON FAMILY FOUNDATION VIDEO SERIES)
Echelon Insights approached us about documenting one of their focus groups highlighting millennial parenting and their views on our education system. Like all generations, Millennial parents expect a lot out of their kids’ schools today. Their kids are growing up in an era where the two-income household is becoming the norm. The necessity for two incomes and the rise of full-time working parents has fundamentally shifted the needs of both kids and parents when it comes to education.
Working alongside Echelon Insights, we set out to figure out how education has changed since Millennial parents themselves were in school. We asked our focus groups, “Is Millennial parenting different than the way you were raised?” The resulting answers became the basis for a very rewarding project in coordination with the Walton Family Foundation.
ESCA (EMPLOYEE-OWNED S CORPORATIONS OF AMERICA)
NJI Media developed a series of video pieces that showcased the value, scope and unique culture that takes root in employee-owned businesses across America. Our broadcast-quality feature video was filmed in three separate locations and included custom b-roll, overhead drone footage, various direct-to-camera testimonials, and custom graphics. NJI also wrote the original script used in the powerful voice-over narration. The project was certainly a highlight of our year, mainly due to the wonderful employee-owners who took part in the endeavor and became the driving spirit behind the final product.
