Operations & Client Services Intern

NJI Media is seeking candidates for a non-traditional, paid internship to work within our Operations & Client Services team. You will work directly with the Director of Operations to ensure the office is humming along as efficiently as possible.

Our ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where quality of work is paramount. In addition, you will be a self-starter who has a knack for problem solving and are comfortable tackling a variety of projects simultaneously. The perfect intern would also want to learn from our in-house practitioners, ask questions and  collaborate fully.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be proactive and take initiative

Requirements

  • Must have a college degree or currently be enrolled in school
  • Must understand proper phone etiquette
  • Experience using spreadsheets
  • Comfortable with placing online orders
  • “Yes and”…attitude

  • Astute follower of current events in Washington, DC and beyond
  • A sense of humor
  • Not afraid of work, deadlines or pandas
  • Experience with social media platforms and backend analytics

What You’ll do Here

  • Assist with various office organizational tasks
  • Perform daily receptionist duties such as receive packages
  • Man the NJI HQ phones
  • Run errands
  • Research client projects
  • Participate in event production and management projects
  • Dream up good, creative ideas for clients
  • Other duties as assigned by Leadership
