In October, NJI reopened The Speakeasy at NJI Media. The design team knew we had to outdo our efforts from the previous year, so we hatched a plan to create a period-appropriate newspaper to announce the event.
Mailed in unassuming envelopes, the goal was to have recipients curiously browse through the paper before discovering the proper invitation hidden within it.
We had a blast exploring period-appropriate typography, building a narrative of articles surrounding the party (with the help of our copywriting wizards), and creating ads for fictitious businesses operated by our fearless leader. Check out some of what we dreamed up below:
