Man's Best Friend: Coworker

NJI Media’s HQ is in the heart of Old Town, VA, a top dog friendly destination. With more than five dog parks, Old Town welcomes dogs with open arms and so does NJI Media.

A man’s best friends should be welcomed at the workplace, and we’ve enforced this policy from the start.

Having a pet with you at work allows you to balance both your personal time and billable time.

Studies have shown the benefits of having a canine friend at the work place.  It reduces stress, increases productivity, and increases the communication level amongst others.

You’re able to come to work with a fresh outlook, while your pet is keeping you company.

We would like to formally introduce our two canine employees, Clyde and Molly.

As you can see below, Molly is dying to hit up one of the dog-friendly restaurants and hang out with her crew. She helps out in our development shop, as this pup is no ordinary boxer – her database skills are unmatched amongst her canine peers. “I’ve really grown as a developer at NJI Media, where my coworkers and I work to create solutions to complex database problems for our clients. Also, the treats are great,” Molly says.

Clyde, on the other hand, has had a very long day at one of the many dog parks and dreams of returning soon. He helps answer the phones and brings us newspapers and shoes, even when we don’t ask for them. When asked for comment, Clyde was busily removing stuffing from a lobster-shaped toy and only had time to tell us “Ruff. Bark bark bark! Ruff.”

Does your office allow pets in the workplace? Feel free to stop by the Warehouse anytime and meet our canine coworkers.
