Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Evan, NJI Strategy Intern. Since joining the team in May, I have learned a lot about web strategy, analytics and most importantly, I’ve learned a lot about what makes our office a great place to work.
Let’s start with the basics:
- We do “office life” differently
When I first visited the NJI office, I was amazed by the interior. Subtract the cubicles, subtract fluorescent lighting, and add a putting green (not kidding). It’s hard not to find a place to relax in here as it’s been made sure that both work and relaxation are of upmost importance. For example there is something called Wellness Wednesdays where we sometimes have meditation, massages or yoga for the whole office to enjoy. Our office > your office; it’s just math.
- We take “dog lovers” to a new level
Here our beloved four-legged friends are always welcome. Hammy and Indy are regular canine coworkers, but we love to see new furry faces around. One of the first things you will be asked here is if you have a dog, I promise.
- We take snacking seriously
If you take a look at other new employee blog post here, you’ll see something about the NJI kitchen in just about every one of them (and for good reason). We at NJI Media are lucky enough to have more snacks here than we could possibly dream of. The supply is truly endless and constantly restocked with our favorites.
- We work hard
Since my first day here, the biggest thing I’ve learned is the dedication of everyone at NJI to our work. Every day, we are always leaning on each other to help get things done. At any given time, there is a meeting, brainstorm or someone doing research on how to make our best work better. No detail is unimportant when it comes to creating the highest quality of work for our clients.
This June, I helped the strategy team gather data for Mid Year Reports on some of our biggest clients
- We are Internet Scholars
The digital landscape is changing every day, and we not only do our part to change with it, but we teach each other along the way. I’ve learned so much more from everyone here than I could’ve imagined on my first day. Analytics, SEO, content integration just scratch the surface of what I’ve learned in just a few short months. I’ve even learned a little bit of website development (but leave the coding to our Development team, trust me).

Of course there’s still more wonderful things about working here that I didn’t list, but I’ll leave those for you to figure out. So stop on by. We don’t bite!
