Andrew Fimka is a public affairs and communications strategist with extensive experience in message development, issues management, political advocacy and external relations coordination.

As the agency's Managing Director, Andrew is charged with developing and executing multi-faceted communications and engagement campaigns for a diverse roster of clients, (corporations, associations, coalitions, think tanks, political organizations, and non-profits) to influence high-profile public policy debates, define and penetrate a market and enhance a company’s reputation in Washington, D.C. and beyond.

Prior to joining the NJI Media team, Andrew served as Vice President of Public Affairs at Story Partners. Working at the crossroads of business, politics, and policy; Andrew oversaw some of the firm’s largest accounts across a variety of industries -- including energy, technology, and financial services.

Andrew has also served as Director of Political and Legislative Advocacy for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) – the nation’s leading association representing small and independent businesses. While at NFIB, Andrew led NFIB’s issue advocacy and political communications campaigns and managed national grassroots operations, several digital properties, and external coalitions.

Throughout his career, Andrew has held a series of volunteer and professional roles for numerous federal and state-based political campaigns; focusing on policy, coalitions and direct voter contact operations.

Andrew is a graduate of the University of Hartford and holds a Master’s degree in Legislative Affairs from the George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management.

Ceremonial Mayor of St. Michaels, MD on the Eastern Shore

What is your favorite activity?

Learning on the job while I maintain my 100 year old home...the whole thing would come down if it weren’t for “do it yourself” YouTube videos

What is your favorite iPhone app?

Waze because I enjoy driving in the city, but I hate traffic

When I'm not at work, I:

am serving as trip director for my family as we load up my baby daughter (Henley) and seemingly reenact the movie “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” every time we leave the house

What or who are you most influenced by?

My father who is hands down the most hardworking and selfless man I have ever known
