Today, 4.2 billion people live without safely managed sanitation. World Toilet Day, celebrated on 19th November every year, is about inspiring action to tackle the global sanitation crisis and help achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) to provide sanitation for all by 2030.
DefeatDD and their parent organization PATH approached NJI to build greater brand awareness around “World Toilet Day.” The goal was a campaign that would both educate and activate global advocates through a unique landing page and shareable digital assets – spreading the message that whoever you are, wherever you are, sanitation is your human right.

Once our design team put their finishing touches on the creative, it was time to show it off. Our development team created a custom landing page on DefeatDD’s website. The new page included a new social feature, which allows visitors to select creative to share directly to their social media profiles. This aspect proved key to increasing engagement and views among the target audience.
