At NJI, we constantly challenge ourselves to push communication boundaries further while still delivering personalized experiences. We strive to keep our audience engaged, especially in a world that is seeing virtual interactions becoming the norm. So, instead of trying to recreate the real-world capabilities that are no longer viable due to the pandemic, we shifted gears and pushed our capabilities into a whole new dimension.
In doing so, we opened up a world of possibilities ranging from AR/VR building walkthroughs, photoreal visualizations, and camera tracking for virtual objects. All of which are cost-effective, and uniquely impactful interactive content.
We are excited to showcase our new world of (virtual) possibilities!
Recreating Our Office in 3D
To test the efficacy of this new direction, our team recreated our office polygon-by-polygon. Using office blueprints, hundreds of reference photos, and some digital elbow grease, we were able to not only recreate the structure of the building, but also the feeling of being there in person. We highlighted this virtual space in a flythrough of the office, meant to stir our feelings of nostalgia for working together in person and to evoke the feeling of being there.
Moving to Photorealism
Taking things to the next level, we then recreated one of our favorite pictures of the office using the same model as before. Taking the extra time to polish the visuals turned the static photo into a photorealistic piece of visual delight.
Tracking Virtual Objects Onto the Real World
For Boston Properties, we were asked to fly our drone and film one of their properties coming up for lease. To take this one step further, we used the drone paired with 3D motion tracking technology to add branding opportunities to the building. In doing so, Boston Properties was able to show prospective businesses exactly how the building would look once clad in their brand.

Highlighting Content with Social Macros
By combining 3D animation with our award-winning design work, we can create social content that ‘pops’ out of the screen. These bite-sized social macros showcase the possibilities of small scale 3D work, and how it can be utilized to add depth and excitement to any social media page. With fast turnaround times and endlessly adjustable lighting and design tactics, these macros are a great way to incorporate striking visuals that always stay on brand.
