Our Chief Panda Officer, always near the genesis of an inspired idea (or cocktail), often recalls Marcel Proust’s wit for answering Victorian parlor game questions. Pixel has traveled far from the salons of Paris, but her interest remains piqued in which questions truly reflect a person’s character. Packing just the right amount of punch, NJI created The Pixel Questionnaire to give a glimpse into the inner workings of some of our most intriguing minds.
We cracked a cider with Senior Designer Jessie Noble in hopes that she might share the secrets to her amazing sourdough starter and to learn a little more about this extraordinary creative talent.
What is your most unusual talent?
I can wiggle my ears.

The ability to banish small inconveniences.

Push the buttons on every single floor.

Become best friends.
If you could breed two animals together, what would they be?
A miniature pony and a butterfly.

Chocolate milk.
Your most treasured possession?
A box of handwritten notes from friends and family that I’ve been collecting since I was a kid.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…
Garden gnomes — what do you think?
I have a collection of them in Animal Crossing, but I would never put a real one in my yard because they freak me out.
If you joined the circus, what would your circus act be?
Mime.
What one object do you take with you on a desert island (you have water and food already)?
An obscene supply of a really good sunscreen.

Brie (sorry Charlotte).
What is something you get wrong every time you try?
Poker (both the game and the face).
Who would you like to sit next to on a 10 hour flight?
Someone who missed the 10 hour flight.
What was the last gift you got someone?
I made a dice rolling tray for my husband.
If you could talk to one species of animals, which one would it be?
Probably birds since they can go so many places and see so many things. I could be that cool friend who sends messages by way of crow.
If NJI were a television show or movie, what would it be?
Mad Max.
Who will Pixel interview next? The subject is yet to be revealed, but your patience will be rewarded. She always has the most unexpected ideas.
