I wear a lot of hats here at NJI: party planner, Nathan’s wife, and leader of an iOS development project called Photox.
It all started over brunch (as all things do in DC) back sometime last summer that I pitched Nathan and Josh on my idea for an app that would connect users with professional graphic designers for photo editing, on-demand. “Kinda like Uber – but for photo editing!” I said, knowing my audience…
They were intrigued. The conversation could continue. Just as long as I promised to stop calling this imaginary app “InstaGlam.”
Fast-forward 10 months and here we are: Photox is alive and well and available in the App Store! Thanks to the enthusiasm, input, hard work, and creative genius of almost every member of the NJI team.
Dave has burned the midnight oil for months (sorry, Carolyn!) to do magic I can’t even begin to explain. And we have Alex to thank for the beautiful, streamlined look and feel of the app – so intuitive, even my septuagenarian parents can use it.
So, what is Photox? It’s the first-ever iPhone app to connect users with professional photo editors, on-demand, 24/7.
You download the app, upload a photo, and select from over 30 touch-up options, ranging from teeth whitening and wrinkle erasing to dramatic weight loss. Once your photo is submitted, our team of professional touch-up artists will edit it and send it back to you within as little as 15 minutes.
