The American Gaming Association (AGA) is a national trade organization advocating for safe business environments for legal, regulated gambling. Its Have A Game Plan campaign offers tools and resources to help individuals engage in responsible, legal sports betting. As more sports leagues partner with sportsbooks to provide in-venue betting, AGA sought to expand information and resources to ensure everyone has a game plan.

THE BRIEF

AGA engaged NJI to launch Have A Game Plan’s new partnerships with several major sports leagues, including the NBA, MLB, NHL, NFL, and WNBA. NJI produced a series of slam-dunk digital assets that thoughtfully highlight AGA while adhering to the unique brand guidelines of each league partner. The resulting campaign amplified AGA’s message and educational resources while maintaining a consistent tone across social and digital platforms.

THE PROCESS

Our design team began by aligning Have A Game Plan branding with each league’s guidelines. We created visually striking assets that would engage fans, increase AGA’s visibility, and help to legitimize in-venue sports betting. A bold aesthetic combined texture and eye-catching sports imagery to create a visually compelling environment for concise, confident messaging.

Our video team audited, directed, and translated a significant suite of assets into motion graphics for a widescreen format. We coupled a marching band soundtrack with audio of a cheering stadium crowd to convey the energy of live sports. The visual sequence of design elements was carefully timed to the beat of the drumline, building anticipation and crafting a seamless visual narrative that connected each animation to the next.

THE OUTCOME

The resulting campaign brought attention to responsible sports betting across five major leagues. Co-branded visuals, motion graphics, and webpages elevated AGA’s visibility, shared important information about the sports betting industry, and provided valuable safety and educational resources. The AGA will be able to reuse and refresh these assets for years to come.
