The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) is the voice for America’s independent pharmacies, representing 21,000 nationwide. NCPA engaged NJI to reimagine its website, which provides robust resources for current and prospective members. The association wanted to achieve a better user experience and a stronger platform for advocacy and member services.
We worked closely with NCPA to envision and design a new digital presence — one that advances members’ interests while reinforcing the association’s value. With an extensive collection of digital content, a primary objective was a seamless UX, with clear pathways for users to locate relevant content. After an extensive discovery process, we focused on features and functionality that are inviting, intuitive, and responsive.
In keeping with NCPA’s mission, we chose visual and organizational elements that emphasize community and personalization, including the color palette, custom iconography, and sitemap. Detailed analytics generate real-time feedback on specific content, empowering the association to evolve digital resources based on user-centric data. The new site marries a seamless UX and a refined style that serves to distinguish community pharmacies.

The new digital platform positions NCPA to accomplish its most important objectives: demonstrating value to members, activating grassroots efforts, educating potential members, and showcasing community pharmacists as full-service medical providers. As a resource, it is comprehensive, while feeling lightweight, seamless, and user-friendly.
