A NEW IMAGE FOR A NEW AUDIENCE
Shifting perceptions and dispelling myths with a full rebrand
The American Resort Development Association (ARDA) enlisted NJI Media to reimagine VacationBetter.org, the premier resource for vacation ownership information. Our work included a website redesign, a full rebrand, and a set of branding guidelines.
The Visual Style of Travel-Related Content
In recent years, the timeshare industry has identified a need to educate the public about shared vacation ownership. ARDA wanted VacationBetter to be a comfortable, professional resource for new, prospective, and long-time owners, without the pressure or perception of a sales pitch. We set out to build a brand identity and digital presence around friendly, credible messaging and useful information.
After crafting a new logo, we developed a branding document that defines guidelines for its use and establishes the VacationBetter visual style. Our goal was to ensure ARDA could extend the brand, while maintaining visual integrity and cohesion.
We saw this project as an opportunity to reinvent the visual style of travel-related content. Typically, vacation sales visuals are cluttered and aggressive, with hyper-saturated imagery. We made the messaging approachable with cooler images and spacious, minimal layouts, and we replaced dense text with high-quality destination images.
By using WordPress for the redesign and creating a series of customizable content modules, we made it easy for ARDA to update VacationBetter content and provide new information for its audience.
The timeshare landscape has evolved, and the new VacationBetter.org offers a fresh perspective, dispelling myths and skepticism surrounding vacation ownership.
We collaborate with tenacious organizations and ambitious people.
