Our Chief Panda Officer, always near the genesis of an inspired idea (or cocktail), often recalls Marcel Proust’s wit for answering Victorian parlor game questions. Pixel has traveled far from the salons of Paris, but her interest remains piqued in which questions truly reflect a person’s character. Packing just the right amount of punch, NJI created The Pixel Questionnaire to give a glimpse into the inner workings of some of our most intriguing minds.
We organized a prosecco tasting with a donsy of garden gnomes for Indiana-based Senior Project Manager Dora Milan and settled in on a most comfortable settee alongside Billy Murray to discuss what makes her such an amazing NJI panda.
What is your spirit animal?
Giraffe (I’m tall and a vegetarian- the similarities are uncanny).
What is your most unusual talent?
I can list all the U.S. presidents in order.
On what occasions do you lie?
I’ll empty the dishwasher.
If you had a superpower?
Is having all excel formulas memorized a superpower?
What would you do if you got stuck in an elevator?
Take a nap in the corner.
What is your favorite drink?
Prosecco.
If a movie were made about your career, what would be the title?
Just Getting Started.
You’ve been given an elephant. What do you do?
I like long walks on the beach, an elephant could only make that better.
What’s the greatest length you’ve gone to for a client?
Logging on to meet a deadline after having my mouth numbed at the dentist.
If you could eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pasta, any shape, size or sauce.
Your most treasured possession?
A Hungarian postcard from the 1910s signed by my namesake great aunt Dora.
Do you have any superstitions?
Other than running up any basement stairs for fear of danger lurking behind me? No.
Garden gnomes — what do you think?
The more the merrier.
If you joined the circus, what would your circus act be?
One of the motorcyclists that ride inside the globe of death.
What one object do you take with you on a desert island (you have water and food already)?
Sunscreen!!!
Who inspires you?
All of the women in my family.
What is something you hate but wish you loved?
Seafood.
What is something you get wrong every time you try?
Understanding the rules of football, and most excel formulas.
Who would you like to sit next to on a 10 hour flight?
Bill Murray.
What was the last gift you got someone?
A coffee table book full of black and white portraits of my dog.
If you could talk to one species of animals, which one would it be?
Birds, they travel more than almost any other species, I can’t imagine all the places they’ve been.
If NJI were a television show or movie, what would it be?
Pixel Perfect (before Disney got to it first in 2004 with one of the best movies of all time).
Who will Pixel interview next? The subject is yet to be revealed, but your patience will be rewarded. She always has the most unexpected ideas.
