Our Chief Panda Officer, always near the genesis of an inspired idea (or cocktail), often recalls Marcel Proust’s wit for answering Victorian parlor game questions. Pixel has traveled far from the salons of Paris, but her interest remains piqued in which questions truly reflect a person’s character. Packing just the right amount of punch, NJI created The Pixel Questionnaire to give a glimpse into the inner workings of some of our most intriguing minds.
We enticed Director of Agency Operations Sydney Novak with a little après-ski invitation to gab over a bottomless bowl of popcorn and chilled Bubly. While discussing which Avenger Pixel would be and exactly what it would take to safely fill a pool full of cuddly puppies, we discovered a little more about this excel wizard in NJI’s Alexandria office.
What is your spirit animal?
Sloth (FYI they aren’t slow, they’re efficient!!!)
If you had a superpower?
Teleportation — I’ve got the travel bug.
What is your most unusual talent?
Being really good at excel formulas (even though I absolutely hate numbers/math).
On what occasions do you lie?
When I say “I’m never drinking again” after a night out.
If not yourself, who would you be?
Jen Aniston AKA Rachel Green. Iconic.
If you could jump into a pool of something, what would it be?
Well I wouldn’t jump in — I’m more of a toe dipper. But I would carefully step into a shallow pool of puppies.
If you could breed two animals together, what would they be?
Dog + Sloth. They’d be SO cuddly and couldn’t run away from me when I want to hug them.
What would you do if you got stuck in an elevator?
Hope that I’m not in some sort of Twilight Zone.
What is your favorite drink?
Any flavor of Bubly Sparkling Water.
If a movie were made about your career, what would be the title?
Work Hard Play Hard (cliche but true!)
You’ve been given an elephant. What do you do?
Love him like my own puppy. I bet he’d be a hoot on walks around the neighborhood.
If you could eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Popcorn.
Your most treasured possession?
My snow skis.
If you could go back in time, where would you go?
I’d love to be a teen in the 1980s.
What is something you hate but wish you loved?
Oysters (I love basically ALL food but I just can’t seem to get behind this one).
Garden gnomes — what do you think?
I prefer the holiday gnomes that are indoor decor (with the realistic beard hair).
If you joined the circus, what would your circus act be?
I want to be one of the many clowns that fits into one tiny car — HOW DO THEY DO IT!
What one object do you take with you on a desert island (you have water and food already)?
Wilson — could always use a friend.
What is something you get wrong every time you try?
Giving directions.
Who would you like to sit next to on a 10 hour flight?
Kacey Musgraves.
What was the last gift you got someone?
Ski Gear (We’ve got a ski trip coming up!)
If you could talk to one species of animals, which one would it be?
I’d love to know what the heck goes on in the mind of a cat. Do they hate humans?
If NJI were a television show or movie, what would it be?
The Avengers — We’re a team of badass super heroes with all sorts of powers.
Who will Pixel interview next? The subject is yet to be revealed, but your patience will be rewarded. She always has the most unexpected ideas.
