Teams working on policy, public affairs, and communications in regulated industries face a common problem: their most important knowledge is their least accessible. NJI bridges that gap, helping communicate complex information to distinct audiences wherever they are.

The Client

UL Standards & Engagement (ULSE) develops and champions science-backed safety standards that protect people, products, and places worldwide.

The Project

ULSE partnered with NJI to redesign its flagship website (ulse.org) to better reflect its global mission, establish a distinct identity, and deliver an improved experience for its priority audiences – including Technical Committee members, partners, and industry professionals.

Our Strategy, In One Sentence

Transform an online library of dense, scientific reports into an interactive experience that makes complex topics attractive and engaging for everyone.

A digital conference platform interface showing an agenda with session details, speakers, and a dashboard with a resource list, article cards with images, filter options, and a search bar, all on a green background.
“NJI went above and beyond to ensure we launched a site we're truly proud of (and on time)!”
- Rachel Adler Digital Strategy Manager, ULSE

The Details

Clarity, consistency, and adaptability drove every decision and deliverable for this project.

  • Our standard discovery process helped articulate current pain points and future wishes.
  • The site map was restructured to better highlight ULSE’s leadership in global safety.
  • Page copy was rewritten to create a journey that made audiences want to learn more.
  • Custom illustrations and animations brought complex ideas to life.
  • Leveraged WordPress’s Gutenberg Full Site Editor (FSE) to build a flexible, future-ready CMS.

The result is more than a website – it’s a scalable, story-driven platform that advances ULSE’s mission to make the world safer for you.
