NJI, a creative services agency headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, is pleased to announce we have become a certified veteran employer through the Virginia Values Veterans Program (V3 Program).

Over 700,000 veterans live in Virginia, which is home to one of the youngest veteran populations and the fastest-growing veteran labor force in the United States, according to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

The V3 Program encourages and equips companies to recruit, hire, train, and retain Virginia’s veterans and serving members of the National Guard and Reserve.

“Military veterans bring strong training and deep experience to their private sector careers, whether following active duty or in parallel to serving as a reservist,” observed Nathan Imperiale, NJI CEO. “We recognize the strategic and technical skills of veterans are often overlooked in the creative industry. NJI has a positive track record hiring veterans, and we look forward to building on that success.”

The 10-year-old V3 Program helps employers recognize the value of employing veterans and helps companies meet those goals after they have committed. In 2021, 18.5 million people in the United States were veterans, comprising about 7 percent of the U.S. adult population. More than a quarter have a service-connected disability.

Over 10 percent of Virginia’s population are veterans. The V3 program is officially recognized and authorized under the Code of Virginia (§ 2.2-2001.2).

NJI also actively shares positions on Maryland’s Department of Labor: Maryland Workforce Exchange to specifically raise awareness of open positions with veterans residing in Maryland.
